If you enjoy a drink every so often, leave your money out of the casino if you set out to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Leave your pocketbook, your wallet, and leave all money, charge cards and chequebooks out of the casino. Only take whatever money you expect to spend on alcohol, tips and few dollars you expect to lose and keep the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not really. Just realistic. You might experience a profit following a drunken night out with your comrades and be blessed enough to hit a marathon roll at a smokin craps game. Hang on to that adventure considering that it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually drink and wager. The two simply do not go well together.
Leaving your money at home might be a bit excessive, but preventative actions for drastic actions is required. If you gamble to profit, then don’t consume alcohol and gamble. If you are able to afford to blow your assets without a concern, then consume all the gratuitous beer your stomach are able to handle, but don’t carry charge cards and chequebooks to toss into the mix of chasing losses after your drunk as a skunk self squanders everything!
